Calgary vs Ottawa: prediction for the NHL game
The Flames are set to play the Senators in the National Hockey League on January 14. We made predictions for this game, which you can find in the article below.
Calgary played their last five games away from home. At first, they were doing quite well - the Flames recorded a confident victory over Seattle (6:4) and crushed Chicago (5:1). Forward Gaudreau was excellent in both games and chalked up 6 points.
But the Flames failed to build on that success and in the following matches suffered defeats to Florida (2:6), Tampa (1:4), and Carolina (3:6).
Ottawa haven't been doing well lately. In four away games they managed only one victory, over Florida (8:2). The Panthers had serious problems with the line-up and the Senators took advantage of that. The whole first line of players chalked up performance points in that game.
The Senators also put up a fight against Philadelphia, but the Flyers prevailed in overtime (3:4 OT). Then Ottawa got devastated by Toronto (0:6) in the last game.
In 3 head-to-head games in a row, the teams scored in each period.
In 3 out of 4 head-to-head games, Calgary scored first.
Calgary failed to deliver good results in their recent away series, and they will be looking to bounce back at home. Ottawa are in terrible form and should not create problems for the hosts.
Our prediction - Calgary to win
Ottawa have a very weak defensive line, and we are predicting a large number of goals scored by the hosts in this game.
Second bet - Calgary IT over 3.5 goals
